Privacy Policy

Your family photos are private. This page explains in plain words what FrameHug keeps, why, who else sees it, how long we keep it and how to delete it.
Who we are
FrameHug (framehug.com) is a service by Hippocampia, Israel ("we", "us"). We are the database owner under the Israeli Protection of Privacy Law, 5741-1981 (including Amendment 13), and the "controller" under the EU and UK GDPR.

What we keep and why

What we don't do: no advertising, no selling of data, no analytics or tracking cookies, no face recognition and no profiling. Your card details never reach us; they go directly to Freemius.
Please note: your photos may show other people, including children. Upload them only with permission (we ask you to confirm this before each film). Don't write sensitive details (health, address, ID numbers) in notes or answers; everything you write may be sent to the AI services below to make the film.
Legal basis
- Providing the service you asked for (contract): making, showing and delivering your film, payments, share links.
- Consent: the confirmation you give before each film, joining the waitlist and marketing updates. You can withdraw consent at any time by deleting the film or leaving the waitlist.
- Legal obligation: keeping purchase records under tax law.
- Legitimate interests: security, preventing abuse of the free preview, fixing faults.
You don't have to give us any information, but without photos we can't make a film.
Who else processes the data
We share data only with providers that help us make your film, each receiving only what its step needs:

Under their commercial API terms, Anthropic and Google do not use the data we send them to train their models. We do not allow providers to use your data for their own marketing. We may disclose data if the law requires it.
International transfers
Our providers process data in the United States and other countries. Where the law requires it, transfers are made under the providers' data-protection terms, such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep it
- Films and photos: until you delete them. They are also deleted automatically, together with every file made from them, when the browser that made them has not opened FrameHug for more than 12 months.
- Waitlist: until you leave it (every email has a link) or until it is no longer needed for launch updates.
- Purchase records: 7 years, as Israeli tax law requires.
- Error logs: up to 90 days.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your information, or object to its use. In the EU or UK you can also ask to restrict processing or to receive your data in a portable form, and complain to your data protection authority. In Israel you can contact the Privacy Protection Authority. You can delete a film and its photos yourself at any time from the studio. For anything else, write to support@framehug.com; we answer within 30 days.
Cookies
We use only cookies the site needs to work: a session cookie that keeps your films in your browser, your language choice and, while the site is in private preview, a cookie that remembers the site password. No advertising or analytics cookies.
Security
The site uses HTTPS. Photos and films are stored privately and are reachable only from the browser that made them, or through a share link you create and can switch off. Payments are handled by Freemius.
Children
FrameHug is for adults (18 and over). Photos may show children, uploaded by their family with permission. We don't knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
If we change this policy materially, we will update this page and the date at the top.
