Terms of Service

These terms apply when you use FrameHug (framehug.com), a service by Hippocampia, Israel ("FrameHug", "we", "us"), that turns your photographs into an animated film with music and, if you choose, a narrated story. By using FrameHug you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

Who may use FrameHug

  • You must be 18 or older to make a film.
  • You are responsible for everything you upload and write in FrameHug.

Your photos and your rights

  • You keep all rights to your photos, notes, answers and narration text. You give us a limited permission to store and process them only to make, show, deliver and keep your films for you, including through the service providers named in the Privacy Policy. We do not use them to advertise, and we do not sell them.
  • Before you create a film you confirm that you have the right to use the photos, and that the people who appear in them agree to the film, or, for someone who has passed away, their close family agrees. Don't upload photos of other people without permission.
  • Don't upload anything unlawful, sexual, hateful or violent, anything that sexualises or endangers children, anything that infringes someone else's rights, or anything meant to deceive (for example, presenting the film as real footage of an event).
  • Music you upload must be music you have the right to use.

Films made with artificial intelligence

  • FrameHug uses artificial intelligence to plan the movement in each photo, animate it, write narration from your answers and read it aloud. A FrameHug film is a creative interpretation, not a recording of what really happened. Movements, expressions and details are imagined by the AI and may be inaccurate or unexpected.
  • Narration is written only from what you tell us. You review and approve every line before it is voiced, and you are responsible for the approved text.
  • You may use your films for personal and family purposes, including showing them at events and sharing them with family and friends. The music library tracks may be used only as part of your FrameHug film.

Free preview, prices and payment

  • Before you pay, you can make a free preview of your film's first 4 photos, with a FrameHug watermark.
  • The price of the full film depends only on its length (and the optional narration), and is shown before you pay. Prices include VAT.
  • Orders are processed by Freemius (Freemius, Inc.), our reseller and the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Freemius takes the payment, issues the receipt and handles taxes and refunds. We never see your card details.
  • After you pay, the full film is made with all your photos and without the watermark. If you later add photos and the film becomes longer, you pay only the difference between the two lengths; scenes already made are kept.

Retakes and refunds

  • Every paid film includes 3 free retakes: choose the photos whose movement you want redone, and only those scenes are made again.
  • If the film still isn't right after the retakes, email us at support@framehug.com within 14 days of your purchase. Our refund policy is a 14-day satisfaction guarantee: if the film doesn't work as expected or has a problem we cannot fix, we will refund you. Requests made only because you changed your mind are not covered, except where the law gives you that right.
  • Nothing in these terms limits refund or cancellation rights you have under the consumer-protection law that applies to you.

Sharing

You can create a private link to share a finished film. Anyone with the link can watch it, so share it only with people you trust. You can switch the link off at any time.

Availability and changes

FrameHug runs on AI services that change. We may improve, change or pause parts of the service. We may suspend use that breaks these terms or puts others at risk. If we change these terms materially, we will update this page.

Deleting your films

You can delete a film and its photos at any time from the studio. Films are also deleted automatically when the browser that made them has not opened FrameHug for more than 12 months, as described in the Privacy Policy. Please download any film you want to keep.

No guarantee and limitation of liability

FrameHug is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss or for loss of content, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us for the film concerned. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot be limited by law.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, without limiting mandatory consumer protections of the country where you live.
